Summer has truly arrived in the Highlands with the continuation of this heat-wave that has swept the whole of the UK. Whilst we and the guests at Croftcarnoch are loving the heat, it is affecting our neighbours next door at the RZSS Highland Wildlife Park, with many of the animals finding the heat too much.
Certainly young Hamish, the juvenile polar bear, has been keeping to the back den to keep cool, and if you wish to see them, you will have a better chance on a cooler day. For these lovely warm days a trip to Loch Insh or a walk up to the snow-line in the Cairngorms will definitely cool you down. Happy days in the summer sunshine at Croftcarnoch, what bliss….
